If you're a homeschooling parent who loves to browse books, educational materials, and hands-on learning programs, The Educational Warehouse is a destination you’ll want to explore. In this interview, founder Neralea, an experienced homeschool mum, shares how her passion for education and community support shaped one of the most loved stores for homeschool resources in Australia.
This is a transcript of our interview that you can watch on the Homeschool Resource Finder YouTube channel.
A Store Built by a Homeschooling Parent, for Homeschooling Parents
The Educational Warehouse was created with one mission: to make quality educational resources easily accessible to homeschooling families.
“I focus on homeschooling because that’s where I came from,” explains Neralea. “We supply everything homeschoolers need, from counters for mathematics to complete curriculum programs in English, geography, history, and science.”
The store also offers a growing range of Australian picture books, art and craft supplies, and hands-on learning materials. As Neralea says, their unofficial motto has become “anything you could possibly want for education.”
Supporting Families with Experience and Heart
As a former homeschool mum of two, Neralea understands the challenges families face when getting started. Her experience raising a child with dyslexia and navigating the world of special needs education has shaped her deep commitment to literacy and accessible learning.
“I offer free consultations — in person or over the phone — to help families find what they actually need,” she explains. “Often, new homeschoolers buy too much too soon. I help them start with the essentials and build their curriculum step by step.”
This personal approach sets The Educational Warehouse apart as more than just a shop; it’s a trusted partner in the homeschooling journey.

A Community-Driven Beginning
The business began in the most organic way, as a homeschool project.
“When we first started homeschooling, I was gifted a station wagon full of second-hand resources,” says Neralea. “It was far too much for us, so my kids set up a mock business to sell the extras online. It became a real-world lesson in maths, English, and business skills.”
Over time, the little family project grew into a thriving online store. Today, The Educational Warehouse imports resources from Australia, the United States, and Singapore, curating high-quality materials for Australian homeschoolers.
In-Person and Online Shopping Options
While the online store allows families to order from anywhere in Australia, The Educational Warehouse also has a physical location on the Gold Coast, which is open by appointment.
“We love having visitors,” says Neralea. “Families often drop by while on holidays — we’ve even had people visit from Melbourne!”
Giving Back to the Homeschooling Community
Beyond selling resources, Neralea’s mission is to give back to the homeschooling community that once supported her.
“When I started homeschooling, I was lucky to find my tribe; those people helped and encouraged me. Now, I want to be that support for others,” she says.
